Adam Gori
Adam is a graduate of DeSales University. He holds a B.A. in Communications and wants to take his sports writing ability to the next level. One day, he hopes to write or edit for a major sports magazine or website. His strong point is the NFL, but he also writes about MLB and fantasy, even if his fantasy teams don’t always win.
Adam has lived just outside Philadelphia his entire life. Because of this, he is a fan of any team from Philly, but a passionate one for the Eagles. He also cheers for the Phillies, but they’re his second baseball team (first NL team). Because his dad was born and raised in Bronx, NY, Adam has been raised to cheer for the Yankees. He is one of the few out there whose favorite teams are the Eagles and Yankees – a dying breed.

Top 5 Entrance Songs:
1. Headstrong - Trapt
If I heard this song walking to the plate, it’d get me pumped.
2. Welcome to the Jungle – Guns N Roses
One of the best song intros I’ve ever heard.
3. Beer – Reel Big Fish
Just a real fun song that gets everyone going.
4. My Hero – Foo Fighters
Not because I think I’m any ones hero, but I’d like to think one time I’d hit a winning run and that song would fit to play when I come up.
5. Beverly Hills – Weezer
I listened to this song non-stop when it came out, so it’s only fitting they’d play it for me.
Top 5 Favorite Athletes:
1. Randall Cunningham – Philadelphia Eagles
Great combination of a throwing quarterback who can run. Plus he was on my favorite team most of his career.
2. Brian Westbrook – Philadelphia Eagles
One of the best open field runners I’ve ever seen, other than Barry Sanders.
3. Michael Jordan – Chicago Bulls
The best basketball player of all time. Luckily, I could watch him growing up.
4. Bernie Williams – New York Yankees
I grew up watching him and Jeter play and win World Series titles with the Yankees. Bernie is one of the classiest players I’ve seen.
5. Derek Jeter – New York Yankees
Jeter is one of the best Yankees of my generation. He defines clutch.
Top 5 Sports Moments That Stand Out as the Most Memorable:
1. Phillies World Series Championship
Being from the Philadelphia area, I have to give the top spot to the only championship I’ve seen from a Philly team – despite the 2-day rain delay.
2. Eagles vs. Chargers 2005
This game I remember so well because I was there. It was the best Eagles’ game I’ve ever been to. The Eagles were down 17-13 late in the 4th quarter with San Diego about to kick a field goal to essentially seal it. The field goal was blocked and Matt Ware returned it to give the Eagles what ended up being the game-winning touchdown. Not only that, but the Birds stopped LT’s 18-game touchdown streak.
3. Eagles Super Bowl XXXIX 4th Quarter Comeback
Again, they didn’t win, but when the Eagles scored that last touchdown, I jumped up and put my fist into a ceiling fan. My aunt also damaged one of our ceiling tiles.
4. 4th and 26
Just when it looked like the Eagles had nothing left vs. Green Bay, McNabb connected to Freddie “I Have a Thousand Nicknames” Mitchell. They didn’t win the Super Bowl that year (obviously), but that was a fantastic play.
5. Matt Stairs HR in 8th Inning of Game 5 NLCS
Since it was in LA, the game went late and I woke my sister up when Stairs hit his homer to put the Phils up.
